Perhaps no one knows, but I am curious about the consensus from the peanut gallery on whether there will be a 2020 football season or not. Will it just be a "studio" game with empty stands?...s spring season?..no season?...what?

I hate that nothing has been decided, or more likely, nothing can at this time be decided.I don't want young men to be jeopardized simply for my entertainment, but damn!...I will miss football. We don't seem to have much else to discuss. What do y'all think?

I believe we will have a football season with fans in the stadium. Probably at well below capacity though. Too much money lost if there isn’t a season.

I think the first few games will have "social distancing" crowds but should relax that was the season goes on. Fortunately, these are the folks who are least likely to come down with Wuhan Virus but the elderly in the stands could be at risk.

There's too much money involved for it not to happen, IMO.

I agree. I have been pretty careful because I hit the 65 mark a couple of years ago, and my daughter said that I should be. 
 

So far, 8/10 deaths have been people over 65. I am certain information is out there, but I haven’t looked for it, regarding the percentage of those (over 65) people with diabetes, asthma, COPD, congestive heart failure, or those who were obese or had an otherwise compromised immune system. That number is probably substantial, and they would have been vulnerable regardless of age.

I have nothing against a responsible news media; however, I loath the 24 hour talking heads.  They don’t have viewers if there is no drama  I’m convinced they have exacerbated the fear, and for some the fear is going to be difficult to overcome.

If they limit the numbers in the stands, I think they should first ask which Foundation members would like to take a 1 year “leave” from purchasing their tickets, but still make their donation, with the assurance their tickets would be available next year.  If they would, the University can then offer those tickets for sell.

i really don’t think the players are at risk at their age, according to the data.

They've started collecting for my season tickets again.  I called them and asked them about this.  If there are any issues, season ticket holders will have options.  Refund, Credit to apply for 2021-2022 season.

Today’s wsj had an article that stated that rather than COVID mutating into a weaker strain as some have suggested, the treatments are improving, as well as the identification and prevention of problems associated with the virus. 
 

That also means that the self-imposed semi-isolation gave scientists time to study the virus and find some medication that at least controls it, so that the vast majority of people can survive the disease.

The young are not at risk as far as death, however everyone is at risk for long term damage.
