Was one of your biggest fans for a very long time. Defended you a ton. Appreciate what you have done at Texas, but I realize it should have been way more.

either way all things come to an end eventually. Mack wont come back from this. Even the Chip "Bellmont" Brown said before this game Mack is done if he loses.

On to a new era.

bingo!

would not even comment on the future. looked like he wanted to cry at times. I think he is done

Until tomorrow, when Sally tells Mack, "you cant walk away from 5million for doing nothing. Just call Joe."

I'd be fine with him retiring and coaching the bowl game as long as it doesn't interfere with getting Saban or whoever the new coach is. If it does interfere, I want him out tomorrow

I hope Mack appreciates all we did for him. We gave him 10s of millions for nothing.

Bye Mack.

bittersweet ..not the way the man should have went out..they just dont know when to quit sometimes..

If Joe likes Mack so much, he can start paying him.

We should all be thankful to him for getting Texas back to national status. Now he needs to realize the game is passing him by and bow out. If he does it correctly, he may get a statue.

However it ends up I can say this - Mack turned around what could have been a disastrous season for Texas. I have always been in the camp that thinks we need a change after this season but what he and his staff accomplished after the 1-2 start was stellar IMO.

I definitely respect everything he did for Texas since taking over before the 1998 season. He got Texas back to being an elite program again. Now it's time for him to realize he can't "fix it" and move along so that we can hire a new coach to rebuild the program.
