Thank you Mack Brown

Thank you Mack Brown for being a genuine good guy. I can tell that he cared about the person as well as the player. I have always appreciated the fact that Mack did things the right way when it came to ethics in recruiting. I believe that he really helped a lot of players, starters and non-starters, to succeed in life after football. Also, appreciate the way he treated everyone with respect no matter who they were. Of course, the best memory I have of Mack coaching the Horns, is the National Championship win against the supposedly greatest college football team ever. That was SWEET!!!

Thanks for all the Oklahoma butt kickings but mostly thanks for doing your best to poison the well with Saban's hiring.

You will not be missed by me little man.

Thanks Mack. Never would have enjoyed the ride and going to all those Rose Bowls if it weren't for you.

Thanks Mack for mostly a commendable job for your first 12 years. Now please retire and accept the money and gratitude before it turns ugly.

Mack Brown Field at Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium

This should definitely happen. And, yes, Mack deserves a statue at one corner of DKR too. Maybe on the new "Stadium Stampede" route to the players' entrance?

Come Early, Be Loud, and wear Burnt Orange! These words should adorn the statue, as well.

Probably the 2nd most important thread topic we'll discuss this week, behind the hiring of Saban thread. Despite my desire to see Mack ride off into the sunset, I'm still a big fan of his. He's a good man with a real mind for football and undeniable love for the Texas Longhorns. I still remember meeting him when I was in High School. He stopped for a good while and carried a conversation with me when he didn't have too. That's the man I'll remember him to be. And I wish him all the best in whatever role he does take over.
BevoBlake my friend I agree with you and MB will go down the Texas history as a great great coach. The things that MB has done the last few days has really bothered me. That just not something I would have ever thought MB would ever do. In the end like most of you I will forgive MB and move on but right now I see someone who wants to have a voice in hiring the next football coach and be involved with what goes on in the football program after retirement and that just can't happen. Now I might have this all wrong I sure hope so. It's not in my nature to talk bad about anyone but right now I am really upset with MB. My friends y'all have a great weekend.
