Texas beat Penn 79-61, and will play Maryland in the second round on Tuesday. Boy what an atrocious start by Texas, they fell behind by 15 in the first half. That's the problem with women's basketball though, the scheduling is pretty bad. Texas hadn't played a game in over two weeks and were clearly rusty. On a positive note, great grit by a very young Texas team to come back and dominate the second half. Nekia Jones is quickly becoming my favorite athlete at Texas. The men's team needs to find a bull dog personality like hers, who can also hit clutch shots. If you aren't excited about our basketball teams, I really don't know what to say. Both are very young with great talent coming in.
