Good afternoon fellow seamheads and Texas Baseball fans.

After a tremendous late-inning comeback 5-4 win last night, we'll see the Longhorns take on the Bruins in Game 2 today at 4 PM CST.

We'll do some inning by inning recaps here as well as host the usual in-game discussion.  Nothing is off-limits.  Fire away.

There is some light drizzle/mist right now, and it looks to be moving out to the NNE.  Last update I received was that the game was going to be played as scheduled.  If I hear of anything else, I'll let y'all know.

Lineups will be posted as soon as I get them.

I believe UCLA will go with Freshman LHP Nick Scheidler, (1-0, ERA 0.00) He has only thrown 6.1 innings, all in relief.  (Note: This could change.)

Texas will go with Morgan Cooper (1-0, ERA 1.89)

I am 100% not sure that we will see the UCLA Frosh on the bump.  UCLA used him on their Game Day tweet, which is odd.  Why would you put a guy that has only pitched 6.1 innings on your Game Day tweet if you weren't going to use him today?  The only thing I can figure is that Coach Savage has seen how Texas has struggled vs LHPs this season and may be playing a hunch.

Lotta fun last night. Gotta admit when UCLA hit the 3-run bomb, I had the old 'here we go again' feeling. But...surprise! Damned if clutch hitting, gutsy base running and a lockdown closer didn't return to the Disch.

Damn good to see.

Rewatching last night's game; that was a clear batter interference call in T7 on the putout by Cantu at the plate.  Awful non-call

Hopefully, today and  for the remainder of the season we will be as blessed as we were last night.  Yes, the late inning rally for the victory was wonderful.  But, Alex Loeb replacing Lowell Galindo in the booth was absolutely GREAT.  He actually did play-by-play and gave an account of the action on the field, rather than incessantly babbling Bull-shit while interviewing Keith and Greg Ad Nauseam...   Longhorn God, please keep Galindo out of the booth.  This one benevolent act may save my season.  Hook 'em.

They're going with the FR LHP.  It's official.

I agree 100%. I have one other request to Longhornhorn God. Please fix the mobile version of this site. 😬

I am at a friends house and we just broke out some Shiner Bock. I think that's a pretty good bench player.
I approve of this move.  Shiner Bock is solid out of the bullpen.
