Texas Vs. Temple

A win is a win! FTs once again almost killed us, but we escaped. Our length inside is our strength, but we must do a better job knocking down the mid-range jumpers to keep defenses from collapsing.

I'm not a Barnes fan but they are playing hard and as a team. Great win for them today.

Can't have any more games where Felix and Holland go 2-20, 1-7, 7-14.

Rest of the team went 48%, 43%, 67%.

A entertaining game and the young Horns did not fold. They give up to many easy basket because of not taking care of the ball on offensive end.

Yes. Temple had like 20 fast break points, which was a combination of bad ball security and some horrible shots followed by Texas crashing the boards and the guards that took the horrible shot not getting back on defense.

I think Javan Felix finally became the game changer most hoped for today. He is a 4 year player and he runs the point well. Now can he be counted on consistently to make that shot? Kansas and Oklahoma State are the top two teams but lots of room 3-10. Maybe this can be a tourney team. Maybe.

I'm happy he nailed that 3 but I don't want him to be the 'guy'. And I want him as role player/alternate point at best. Anything more is non-competitive.

Felix may look like he's 25, but he's a sophomore. And he was 2-11 and had 5 TO's. Luckily Holland was worse at 0-9. Felix did hit the big shot to win it, and is the best FT shooter on the team, but he needs to play backup minutes to Taylor.

I want him to just be a great point guard. 8-10 per game. 5-7 assists, 2-4 steals and run the offense. With him being a 4 year player, he can do that regardless of who is the coach.
