This seems so similar. You can't expect the defense to play the whole and expect to win.
Better bring in judo qb with some good decision making abilities. The blame can be shared by all but we need a QB that can lead this team. I'm tired of so many people saying he has improved but he hasn't. Look at first game vs Ucla to this game and you can't make that argument at all.
I wish we had offered Barrett, same circumstances coming in for injured starter and he's in the nc hunt and Heisman

I said it after the Baylor game. Swoopes just doesn't have it nor does he have "IT".
And I'll repeat what I said in an earlier post in this thread. If Heard can't beat out Swoopes than he, i.e. Heard, is way overrated.

Disappointing loss, but the more and more I see from the roster it's just bad. We have to give Strong some time. This isn't a "reload" situation, this is a complete rebuild.
The good news is Strong seems to be on the same path as he was at Louisville. If I recall, he also finished 6-6 in his first year at Louisville.

Who are the walk on QBs? I am opposed to burning Heard's 'shirt, but can't we put somebody in there that can play better? Swoopes just does not have the mental capability to play quarterback at this level.
I really feel sorry for Diggs. He played his heart out. Wish he had fielded that punt.

I think you may be right about this being a complete rebuild.
Even on defense, we will take several steps back next year. Ridgeway and Jackson will anchor a pretty good DL but we have no linebackers that are any good and outside of Hall in the secondary I don't see anyone that really stands out.
The offense is in shambles. No running back with any quickness, the WR's are average at best, and the OL is a total and complete shitshow. And all of that is on top of a QB situation that defies explanation. And we refuse to play the only two gamebreakers we have on any kind regular basis.

I hope we can get a transfer QB like we almost had with Wittek last year. Saw a story that there is a rumor that Braxton Miller is looking to transfer to Oregon next year which would make sense and he can play next year. If Miller did transfer it makes sense for him to go to a team that runs a spread offense.
If we could bring in someone who can compete for the starting job then we should have a three way fight for the starting job. Coach Strong did say in a press conference that Heard was going to be an outstanding player. I hope he was referring to next year.
