*****Texas vs. TCU Game Thread*****

I laugh that people think this offensive line is actually good and has talent. Even Ray Charles can see that they are not.
Like I said before name your starting five next year

dont bother naming any incoming freshmen, that’s part of the issue now

Rodriguez and Hudson are upgrades but you still lack an ot if Conner leaves

they better land the juco tackle

i doubt this defense is better next year without Poona and Malik

That's what's scary. You have to hope that "experience" kicks in and you see improvement.

Views from Amon C. Carter

1. Sorry but TCU fans are pricks. Not a fan base like I was expecting. Enjoy it while you can horny frogs

2. TCU stadium badass. Super nice and was glad I went

3. I obviously haven’t read this whole thread but our O-Line is so bad it’s embarassing to sit In the stands.

4. Even with a bad line Shane is bad... maybe it’s a bit of both bad play calling/bad performance but he isn’t the one

5. The one drive we thru the ball deep a couple times we score, and score fast. But noooo Beck wants to throw 2 yard passes to the side lines and not let the plays developed. Or maybe that’s Shane.

6. There were a few times it seriously looked like Shane gave up on plays. It’s a damn shame.

7. Even my wife was getting pissed, that should tell you enough. I just wanted CHANGE on offense. Hell try Heard, Shane wasn’t getting us anywhere. And I mean throw with Heard. ANYTHING

8. Our defense was fun fun to watch, made it worth it to spend my money. I knew TCU would score and I thought them ole boys played lights out. Unfortunately with 0 help from OFfense. This has to hurt our recruiting class. Just has to.

The worst thing about this is that TCU gets another year of trash talking and negative recruiting.  I dislike that program more than any other and it's out of pure jealousy right now because they'e beating my team year in and year out.

Herman isn't the genius everyone thought he was. Hiring Tim Beck was a mistake. I'm not crazy about turning over offensive coordinators every year, but Beck's hire was Shawn Watson bad. Couple that with Orlando probably being gone after this year and next season doesn't hold much promise.

I don’t see kerstetter as the answer

okafor is a guard not a ot. He can’t even beat out Tristan apparently

hudson and vahe at guard

imo shack isn’t that good but is also injury prone bad ankles

if Conner returns or we land the juco and rod and pat can stay healthy is our best hope for next year

I'm not.even phased by this one.  It's what I expected.

Herman said before the Baylor game he would not change or adjust our offense. That's basically saying he doesn't care if we win another game this year.

Do you seriously believe your last sentence?

Kerstetter isn't the answer right now. Kid should be shirting. He wasn't ready, but he was more ready than anyone else we had. Think about that.

You're right, Okafor is out of position. Tristan, well, mom said if you can't be nice . . .

Shack is good at the technical things and calling blocks and schemes at the LOS, but he gets pushed around a lot. Maybe its because of the ankles.

It's too bad Connor could not have returned for today's game. He was needed. We could beat Kansas with Tope Imade playing LT.

Offense looked better at the beginning of the year than the end of the year.  Not a good sign of things to come.
You have one OL starting right now who is playing the same position he was playing in Game 1. Things to come would be like OL returning from injuries and returning everyone to their original or natural positions.

By the way, I just have to ask . . . exactly what do you mean by "die lawn?"

Herman seemed kinda rattled in that post game press conference.
Did you see him go ballistic about the penalty there in the 4th?

I thought it odd. They did a review for a play and the call made on the play. After review, turns out they ditched the original reason for the review and decided to pass out a pass interference penalty instead. I'm thinking, how interesting that you can get a review that results in a pass interference penalty that was only called after the review. We could have some real fun playing that way.
