Texas vs. Oklahoma

Shane is going to have to pick it up, for us to have any chance to actually win

There's the secondary we all know and love. SMH.

We should be going to that area of the field more often.

Halftime

Texas 13

ou 14

Had opportunities in the half to add more points but we haven't capitalized on them.

Some quick thoughts on the first half

The defense gave up 281 yards, but they looked totally different in doing so.  Three big turnovers stopped OU drives, but on the downside Texas was only able to get three points from the results.

For the first time in a while, the officiating bias is slanting strongly towards Texas.  Texas got away with a huge break on a PI no call when Dylan Haines picked off his second pass of the game.  The Sooners haven't had many bounces go their way, and they've shot themselves in the foot more than a few times.

The Texas offense doesn't look right.  Shane isn't all the way healthy, D'Onta doesn't look all the way healthy, and the offensive line isn't helping out much.  The Longhorns racked up 130 yards in the first half, and put together a promising drive to end it that only resulted in three points.  All things considered, they are fortunate this is a one point game.

This will be difficult to close out if Shane can't start connecting on those deep balls in the second half.  Texas needs someone else (Kyle Porter) to step up in the running game in order to be able to sustain drives.

Last two games the offense hasn't looked great after halftime. Maybe this week they got the bad half out of the way first??????? Am I just wishful thinking here?

Texas needs to come out with tempo and get a quick score. ou was lost the times that Texas went to an empty backfield. See if there's something there in that alignment.
