Yep the refs have been horrible.

Refs were horrible but Texas deserved to lose. 

Same story with Texas. They don't show up in the first half. If they would play like they do in the 2nd half they would be winning these games.

Saw a tied score on the ticker after avoiding Texas hoops for the last two weeks. Tuned in only to witness a big pile of crap yet again. Just wasted ten more minutes of my life. Missed FT near end of regulation! This would have won the game. No reason this team should be this mediocre. Lots of talent not being coached very well IMO. Might be Shaka Smart time.

Texas needs to fire Barnes NOW , let an interim coach finish the season...then hire a real basketball coach who can recruit offensive playmakers, and develop them. Don't even mention KD...He was one and done. Barnes would have coached him into a 3rd round NBA  draft pick had he stayed any longer...... LOL

If he can't reach these players and get them to play well maybe he should consider resigning? He doesn't seem all in, getting the defeatist look to him. Don't mean to sound so negative, but enough is enough. New AD hires new football coach and the culture change is taking off. New BB coach may infuse the same turnaround.

Yep, Barnes time is up. Like I've said before,  he put Texas basketball back on the map. Not quite an elite coach but a good coach. Not many coaches can claim making the tournament 15 out of 16 years, but it's time for a change. 

If Patterson was smart he would fire Barnes after this year. Next year's team would give the new coach the ability to win instantly. Holmes is gone and maybe Turner (granted Turner is nowhere close to being ready for the NBA). With the addition of Shaquile Cleare, Eric Davis and Kerwin Roach that team would have talent for days. Just need a coach. 

I still think Barnes makes the tournament this year though because of SOS and RPI due to the Big 12. If Texas gets to 19 wins I think they make the tournament. Hopefully just making the tournament isn't enough to keep his job.

Yup, similar result as some other games... another crappy / sloppy first half, poor shooting, then some degree of a rally in the second half, they have chances but blow it - another loss in the end.

 perhaps, but we're currently sitting comfortably in 8th place out of 10 and our signature win over uconn (now 12-9) doesn't seem so good right now. we're looking pretty NIT-ish right now.

Taylor's hair continues to morph into a buckwheat or don king theme this season. I think the key is to shave his head to turn this season around. Always remember when TJ dumped the cornrows when he got to UT, fresh look for a fresh start? Enough barbershop advice though, Taylor is a tough still young player, hopefully can right the ship.
