SignUp Now!Thank you Joey. I don't try to do the inning by inning stuff like you do. I do like your input on the pitchers.Nice work, David.
I am sticking to PBP on Twitter. It’s a boatload of work to do both Twitter and a game thread. Plus, after many seasons of religiously doing game threads here, I found that many times I was talking to myself here.
That was infuriating to watch. We suck at base running. End of 6. 4-2 Indiana.
The base running wasn't the reason for the loss. It just looks bad especially when we are at home.Keep in mind a few things on the baserunning
CS:
one was on a passed ball
one was on a delayed steal
one was on a hit&run
one was just a slow jump
So while it looks like Pierce was pressing, (and maybe he was,) these were not lazy attempts. Just a ome things to ponder.
Have to get the tough outs. Allowing a 4-spot with 2 outs is not a winning equation.
Yes, Pierce is still the 3rd base coach.I haven’t been watching.
Is Pierce still the third base coach?
Also have Sam Houston St on Wednesday. The upcoming schedule has LSU at home on Tuesday. Then we go to Cal-State Fullerton for the weekend. The following week 2 home mid week games and home for the weekend series.
I do think this bullpen will yield better results than last years. Seems to be more quality, reliable arms. Still lots to play out but shaping up that way early. Not that Pierce will care about my thoughts on the relief pitchers, but after 7 games feel that Tole, Hurley, Shaw, Burke should be the main guys with Stuart being maybe more long relief. With LBJ starting mid week? Maybe he and Andre do spots reliefs to get out of innings and starting the next maybe.
I heard on the local news that Pierce said this was the most frustrating loss ever. One other note; after hearing what Pierce said post game, apparently there was more than one occasion where a player did not get the correct sign and mistakes were the result. Pierce was less than thrilled with this.
