Just wanted to have a thread showing my appreciation for the Longhorn softball team.  There is no quit in this team and they just continue to find a way.  Forcing an elimination game with OKST for trip to the WCWS.  Playing on house money right now.  Let's go ladies!!!!!

Pretty damn impressive since the smelly pig series to now.  Hope they stay focused and don't let the moment be to big.  Prayers for UT great pitching and strong bats.

Top of 5th: Texas down 5-3. They were down 5-0 but a Courtney Day 3R HR in the top of 4th closed the gap

Top 5th: Runners on 1st and 2nd and a line drive to right field. Fielder bobbles the ball allowing the runner to try to score from 2nd. Infielder cuts of the throw home and tries to throw behind the runner at second but the throw goes wide and all the way to the fence in the outfield. Runner on second and the batter come all the way home to score.

Texas now up 6-5 to the bottom of the 5th

I'm blown away by this. This team just finds a way.  I know OU is going to be a huge mountain to climb, but this team is completely capable.  On a side note, I'm kind of happy that they knocked out Elish, but that is just me.

It's interesting that this team started out as a top 5/10 team only to lose every game in a tournament where they went 0 for 5 in the tournament and worked they way till now. Not certain if they can win the whole thing, but glad to see the improvement from the start of the year till now.

Does anyone know why Elish left the Texas program?

BTW, that was a fun game (ok, the 2ne half) to watch last night! Bella Dayton is just a ball of energy and fun to watch!

I read an article that said she left due to issues with anxiety and depression. She needed a change.

If that’s the case and she didn’t say anything against Texas on the way out, more power to her. Those are real issues.

I did not know that.  Good luck to her then.

Here is what I have read on other sites.

First there was boy friend issues. Then there were girl friend issues. Then there mental issues. And she did have some not so good things to say on her way out about Texas.

Hell of a win by the ladies last night. Dug down deep and fought for that win. Doesn't get better than Texas/OU for the Natty.
