2nd year. Do you think he's on the hot seat next year?

Probably so unless they show some improvement quickly. He may get a little more time being as he played there but with the slide they went on to end last season and now are on another one this season, he'll eventually start feeling more and more pressure.

The problem Tech has had for years is they simply can't get big guys up front on the offensive and defensive line. They might be in as bad shape as anyone in the country when it comes to the O-line and D-line. It's going to be a difficult rebuilding process if you ask me.

I think he is safe for a couple of years. Everyone realizes that Tuberville left him a turd sandwich. He will need to show improvement, but is pretty safe. Even with the losses he is still very popular out there. But he does need to recruit some big guys on both sides of the ball.

I expect Kingsbury to get six years at the least. It gives him a class and a half to turn things around after the Tuberville mess. At that point, Tech might consider letting him go if he hasn't turned things around.

This.

When the Pirate was around, they recruited really well on the OL. Not so much on the DL. For years I've wondered why and wondered when they'd give more than lip service to the DL, recruiting wise.

Quick, name a Tech DL in the last 10 years. I can't either.

I like the high flying offense, but not giving more attention to the defensive side and in particular, the DL, has been their achilles heal, IMO.

They need to take a page out of Ole Miss' playbook... Ole Miss had the exact same issues. They were the punching bag of the SEC West because they couldn't get big boys on either line... They have alleviated some of that by running a more up tempo O that bigger D lines have trouble with. Tech needs to do the same things... They have to be able to find a way to use what they do have to create success. They have had success in the past with smaller lines so IMO its a matter of the coaching staff having to game plan better.
