I'm sure I'm reading too far into it, but it seems off that TCU doesn't discredit the injury and only says he's practicing "today".

If I had to guess right now, I'd say there's something going on....

It sounds like TCU is trying (albeit miserably) to hide the story. A wrist injury to the non-throwing hand is still a wrist injury. Catching the snap, zone reads, options, all will be affected by the injury.
