Take USC off the table

Good fit and he knows the area and has done good things at Washington

If he brings Luopi and has Ed Orgeron, that would be 2 of the best recruiters in the business.

Sark is a home run hire for USC. Washington fans are going to be pissed, but this is a career gig for him, and he is going to do outstanding there.

If you are a QB on the West Coast, you definitely want to go to USC now.

Rumors that Orgeron isn't going to be retained.

I really like Sarkisian and had mentioned him for the Texas job on occasion. Interesting to see what happens with Washington. Mora Jr is an alum and could be drawn back home to Seattle where he spent a lot of his childhood. This move could affect us if Saban says no.

Mora Jr. will likely take that Washington Head Coach job as he's mentioned on more than one occasion that it's his dream job. After putting UCLA in a position to win the South this year, Washington would be stupid not to bring him in. That would effectively knock Mora out of the running for the Texas job.

Edit: It would actually be pretty amusing if Steve left USC, Mora left for Washington and then Orgeron left for UCLA.

Interesting re: Orgeron. Rumor this morning was USC was going to make him the nations highest paid assistant and force him on the new coaching staff.

Mora, Franklin, and Peterson would be good hires at UW. That place has all the ingredients to be a monster. Love the stadium as well.

A little bird told me to expect Chris Peterson to emerge as replacement for Mack Brown. Don't know that I believe it, because I don't think Mack is gone.

Chris Peterson would be a disaster.

Dirk Koetter was supposed to be hot when he left Boise and fell flat.

Dan Hawkins was even hotter and absolutely flamed out.

Im not willing to mortgage the future of Texas on being the third failure.

Has USC experience but was 34-29 as a head coach. Apparently he blew everyone away in the interview. Coach O has resigned and will not coach the bowl game.

2009: 5-7 - Lost two games by 7 points or less

2010: 7-6 - Lost by 7 to BYU and by 10 to Arizona State. Blown out in other losses.

2011: 7-6 - Every regular season loss by double digits. Lost the bowl game to Baylor 67-56. Ended up being the end of his DC

2012: 7-6 - Last two games lost by three points or less. One game lost by 10

2013: 8-4 - Lost at Stanford by three, other losses by double digits.

Coming from 0-12 in 2008 he didnt do bad, but the thing with him seems to be those close losses. I think at USC he'll get the athletes to get over that hump.

Did have a 4-1 record in the Apple Cup.

Agree Peterson would be a horrible fit for Texas but I think he'd be a homerun for Washington. That's one of the few big schools where I think Peterson would be a great fit. Just my two cents.
