and so it starts! The NFL 2012 season officially starts today when the Baltimore Ravens rookies report to training camp. Curious when your team reports? Here is the every team's report date: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/19542837/nfl-announces-2012-training-camp-dates-and-locations-for-each-team
Romo has Dez's backPlaying in a celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe, Tony Romo said he had spoken to Dez about his recent troubles and says he has his back. "None of us are directly involved in what's going on in his life," Romo said. "So everyone, the speculation, the articles and things that are written are just people that are guessing. And they're going to have their opinions based on it but no one knows exactly the way that Dez grew up, the way that things have shaped his life and his difficulties."
So at first I thought it was another nutty Tim Tebow story.but then I read this..Tebow, whose unorthodox throwing motion has been often criticized, spent this week with House at the University of Southern California. House, a volunteer pitching coach for the Trojans, has worked with several NFL quarterbacks over the years, including Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Alex Smith. Good enough for Drew Brees and Tom Brady, it's good enough for anyone.
Ranking the NFL Top 25 Prospects, with a twist The pool is limited to players who fit the following criteria: Drafted in the third round or later, or signed as an undrafted free agent.. Entered the NFL between 2009 and 2011.. Fewer than five career games started.. Still on their initial contract and Age 26 or younger in 2012. Before you scoff the last two years has saw this criteria has produced wideouts Miles Austin (2009) and Mike Wallace (2010) Last season's highly ranked DT Geno Atkins made the Pro Bowl.
So who did ESPN(You didn't think I came up with this?)have as this years prospect to watch? That would be Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks.
NFL Power Ranking The Giants start 2012 like they ended 2012, as the top ranked team, according to Gary Myers of he Daily News. The top "5" after the Giants are Packers, Ravens, Patriots and Cowboys. OK, again, it ain't me Cowboy haters it's Gary Myers.
Longhorn ConnectionsAccording to nearly every Mock Draft I have read the Longhorns can see at least (2) players in the first round. Jackson Jeffcoat I have seen as high as (7) and Alex Okafor in the (20) range.
Brett Favre back in football It can't be the NFL season without a Brett Favre story and this is no different. Only this time Favre has been hired as OC for Oak Grove, a high school team in Hattisburg Miss..
Good luck and look for Pro Football updates here on Sunday beginning next week and continuing through the season and into the Super Bowl.
