Could still be in play for the Texans job.

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin agreed to a 6-year deal recently… but hasn’t signed it. 1 reason #Texans may have a shot

crofl Nooo...No more Aggies
He's not an aggy. In fact, that he would want to leave 2 years into his coaching career at aggy is hilarious. They are a stepping stone job, always will be.

When you let an aggy coach a football team, you get a football team that plays like aggys.
Battle Red day with the team led out by the little bull from WWE and #2 in your programs, #1 in your hearts Houston QB Johnny Manziel!!!!

(cue up epic meltdown in 3.... 2....)

All these "agreements" are to lock in a raise while they play the market. Nothing is official until signed. Same with Guz Malzahn, Jimbo Fisher, and others. It's nothing.

OK, what in the world has Sumlin accomplished as a head coach to make ANYONE think he's ready to be a NFL head coach? 4 years at UH and 2 years at aggy, no conference championships, with most of his success coming from 2 QB's that were gifted to him by the previous coaches. The guy's greatest asset is his charisma and recruiting....that would be great if the Texans needed a head coach capable of successfully playing the race card with recruits. I'm seriously concerned for that organization.

Wow. As a longhorn fan that would be great. As a Texans fan that would suck beyond belief.

Good point...

Oh sweet lord, please let this happen. It doesn't have to be the Texans. Just let A&M lose Sumlin in the same month they find out Manziel and Evans aren't coming back.

Hopefully Bob McNair has had his fill of aggy for a while. Heck his son was just our honorary captain. Should know better.
