Strong wants to bring his entire staff to Texas

I guess I am confused....like other posters I was under the assumption that Strong presented to Patterson a list of all the great asst. coaches and oc/dc he had lined up to bring over.....now I am hearing he wants to only bring every one of his staff which is not the way it was presented..I bet Oklahoma, KS, Baylor, UCLA in 2014, TCU, Okla. St, are licking their chops......If he ever becomes the UT coach...I can not believe as reported that Patterson turned down Saban,

I'm not trying to be antagonistic but, unless you are one of the people in the room with Patterson when he talked to Strong, everything you know about this whole thing is what you read on an internet message board. Do you actually think all the stuff that's written on this board is gospel truth?

Patterson got played. Typical. That's why you have BMD that can make things happen. But when you elect to ignore their wishes. This is what happens.

I tend to agree. If this goes bad ( losses mount) How long before Strong & Patterson are gone?

Yup. I'm hoping this is another false rumor, like the several that have already happened during this process. I can see wanting to bring his defensive staff and especially Hurdt but the offense...meh.
My excitement level is going to take a nosedive if this is true.

Hurtt has a show cause as to why any team hiring him should not be penalized. hurtt is a cheating scumbag and goes against the winning with honor and integrity mantra at Ut. If strong attempts to bring him as part of the deal then he should be immediately dismissed from consideration . If this is the case, only gross incompetence on Patterson's point could have brought it to this point as that should have been dealt with upfront

PDX- that is not the quote this came from. Check Ketchum's pinned updates. It says he wants to bring his entire staff.

I know exactly where it came from. It was from Louisville sources and Ketch posted it. Even Ketch said he can't vet it at this time but wanted to pass it along.

I stand by my thoughts this will be nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumor in the end. As of right now there is zero proof it is true. Just an opinion which of course can be proven wrong.

I don't ever recall a HC bringing his entire staff from the old school. Petersen just brought 5 from BSU to UW but 2 of the 5 are not on the field coaches.

According to Burton the "bring his entire staff" thing is untrue. Said he has heard some names of potential positions coaches. Also thinks there will be at least 1 guy retained from the current Texas staff.

If it was BS, then that alleviates a huge concern of mine and makes me feel better about it. We'll have to see how it plays out and if he brings the Hurtt guy (DL coach) or not, which is a big concern still.
