I would say it's 100% done deal. He has a house in Austin. What major coach would ever try owning a home in austin without intentions of coaching at UT!?

I believe McCarthy's daughter lives in Austin, hence the house on Lake Travis. Patterson wants a coach with extensive college experience and I'm afraid McCarthy doesn't meet the criteria. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the 40, but I'm not holding out much hope at this point.

I think he's a good NFL coach. Don't see the college angle working here.

He's lived in Austin for years. Its not going to make a difference plus there are better coaches out there that we can get
