I read where stoopsie passed Barry today...I bet most Sooner fans consider Barry the best in a landslide...are you paying attn Mack? More wins does not mean BEST coach, you will never elevate past 2nd fiddle.

While Sooner fans seem to worship the ground Switzer walks on, IMO Switzer's achievements have a big fat asterisk. He cheated.

And while Big Red Motors says hello, Stoops doesn't leave near the blemish on that program that Switzer did.

That said, Stoops has seemed to have lost his touch over the last couple years. Teams don't really fear OU like they once did.

And how do you think OU got as big as it did?

It does have the Metroplex 3 hours away so that helps a ton but there isn't enough talent in that state to win consistently. Mike Gundy has recruited the hell out of Texas to get Okie State to where it is. Stoops seems to be getting a little like Mack Brown. Doesn't want to fight for recruits.

Makes you wonder if Florida comes calling now that Stoops has the record, would he consider coaching there. He turned them down last time.

Id think his "big game" record would be a bit prohibitive. Whomever inherits that team is a QB away from an instant winner.
