Ok gents, let us cut to the chase...
Although, I have never acquired the religious zealotry to actually walk around with a "halo" upon my head, I would like to think that my parents raised a normally decent man. However, having openly acknowledged this particular trait regarding myself, I can honestly admit to anyone of you...that I am also that very same man that wanted Mack Brown fired several years past. But after watching the BYU catastrophe unfold before my very eyes....that very same sentiment has somehow compounded itself into a feverish pitch...
I have a sister that has graduated with an MBA, as per Baylor. My other sister has graduated with an MBA, as per aTm. Therefore, you'd think that from a mental standpoint...that I would be mud footing around like a cast member of the "Walking Dead". Trust me, it ain't easy sometimes. But since I bleed "burnt orange" GOD's grace, has kept me upon the straight and narrow.
Gents / ladies, please allow me to state in the most simple fashion. "I love the University of Texas". And as I have stated upon one of my earlier threads, "my horns have been up, every since I was a kid in elementary". Therefore, it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to read / hear statements, regarding Mack Brown becoming more and more emboldened / defiant upon each and every new gridiron victory.
Mack Brown, has presented to "Longhorn Nation" so many cherish-able / fond memories. Winning the 2005 CFB National Championship, is something that I shall take to my grave, as the most heartwarming and yet thrilling evening ever upon my life. I am just a simple guy. I just do not feel worthy enough to espouse upon all of the great accomplishments that Mack Brown has delivered upon our great UT institution. But I am man enough to thank him! I thank him.. as per the simple "grace" that he shown throughout his tenure at the helm of Longhorn football. Not to mention, his overall and enduring compassion for others...
Now having stated this, I shall like to take a moment to issue a "plea" to Mack Brown. No matter the outcome upon the end of the season. Please depart with the class / grace / dignity that has surrounded you as per these several years. Please do not bestow upon the University of Texas, an uncanny, and yet unnecessary amount of turmoil / mayhem, that would be quite evident should you present any unkind acts of defiance, upon the face of an impending departure as UT Head Coach. This defiance, shall undoubtably lead to a media over sensationalism, which in turn would make the institution...a national laughingstock / disgrace. Recruits, along with their families, would become deterred as per this confusion...and would relinquish their already fragile commitments. Head coaching frontrunners, would undoubtably perform upon the same fashion. (this could become a profound and yet major embarrassment) unparalleled.
Mack Brown, your "legacy" at the University of Texas has from the very beginning been placed upon the palm's of your hands. These very same "hands" that are now bearing a sparkling diamond "Championship" ring upon it's finger. Keep this "legacy" as graceful as your many victories. And yet, as "classy" even during the hurt / futility of the once mounting "losses". HOOK'EM!
