Statesman reporting Kendall and Meander charged

I appreciate your help with my spelling error, greatly appreciated...

You're right, I have no idea what kind of SORDID past either of these guys have... So while there is no evidence of them having a SORDID past they should be presumed not to have a SORDID past until proven otherwise, right. That seems pretty fair unless we are going on the guilty  until proven innocent concept. So as you stated these athletes are given plenty to include sex from "cute little girls" and the absolute VAST MAJORITY of college football players don't turn into rapists and I'm sure plenty of them have heard "No" a time or two. So forgive me if I don't lump these two in with the MINORITY just yet.

You're right, its for the criminal justice system to handle now... There are plenty of holes in this and we'll see how it unfolds. Gonna be interesting.
Thanks for responding in such a civil manner ... somebody on 247 once threatened to kill me for correcting their spelling ... I guess I do not learn fast, huh?  ;)

The way I see it, one of the functions of threads such as this on forums such as this is to allow us to refine our thinking about the issues of the day that are important to us.  The thing about it is that some of us are a little better at refining their thinking than others.  Thank you for your graciousness.  It is a good thing to be able to seemingly disagree and either come to a place of common understanding, or not, and realize that it is not personal in either case ...

Then there is the other option!  ;)

Ahhhahaha... I agree completely. Its way more agitating that I misspelled a word than it is that you corrected it. This should be a forum to debated heatedly while respectfully. Drives me nuts when people are disrespectful during a discussion purely because they can hide behind their computer screens. This will all unfold one way or another and no matter the outcome it is not good for anybody involved... Her, them, or UT.

Not a good day for the Texas programs. Hamm is reporting over at 247 that a couple players may be in trouble for aggravated robbery.

Sounds fairly significant as this is what Hamm had to say, "Hate to say it, will be VERY significant".

My A&M buddy says there's rumors that it's Speedy. Damn, can kids not stay out of trouble?

He give any indication of which program for the agg robbery?
No indication on if it's the football program or what? A bunch of boards think it might be Speedy though. It is Taylor Hamm so there's no telling if there's any validity to this story. I will say I don't think Brent Zwerneman would be randomly tweeting police reports.

Bryan Police Investigate Aggravated Robberies:

On July 21, 2014 at 11:00pm a 22 year old male was approached by one black male in the parking lot of Reveille Ranch, located at 3645 Wellborn Rd. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s belongings. That evening the victim was unable to describe the suspect. The next day he advised the suspect had a muscular build standing 5’05-5’07â€, weighing 150-170 pounds, wearing baggy clothes.

On July 23, 2014 at 11:00pm a 27 year old male was approached by one black male in the stairwell of Reveille Ranch. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded his belongings. There was a second suspect who was acting as a lookout. The suspects in this case are described as:

Suspect 1: 6’00-6’01 with a muscular build, weighing 180-185lbs, wearing a black T-shirt, gym shorts, and bandana and had a short afro haircut.

Suspect 2: unknown description

The victim’s in both cases were not injured. The cases have been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division. We are asking if anyone has information on these cases to contact the Bryan Police Department at 979-209-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.

The safety of our community does not have borders. It is the goal of every law enforcement agency to protect the citizens that we serve. Be the eyes and ears of your police department. When you see suspicious activity contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600, the Texas A&M University Police Department at 979-845-2345, or the Bryan Police Department and the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office at 979-361-3888. Together we can make a difference in our community.

Rumor is it's aggies' WRs Speedy Noil and Laquvionte Gonzalez.

aggies' always gotta one up us...even after we secured 14 points in the Fulmer Cup race...

I would be willing to bet that doc did not mean that the way it came out.  I also would be willing to bet that doc is not attempting to blame the young lady in any form or fashion.  My take on what he is saying is that we are all responsible for the situations that we put ourselves in.  That is a different issue from rape.  Good judgement, bad judgement ... that can be debated ad naseum, but no kind of judgement provides a justification for crimes of violence, of which rape is one, last time I heard.

Also, J.B.  as the situation has been described, Meander was also a perpetrator.  She might have agreed to go to his room with him initially, but Meander allowed Kendall into the room, and then assaulted her along with him.  Her judgement regarding Meander's character or lack thereof can surely be questioned, but that does not make her responsible in any way for the rape.
Yes, you are correct and I am in no way blaming the girl for being assaulted.  I thought I made this clear and hope no one construed this from my clumsy remarks.  If so, then I offer apologies to those that might have been offended.

She said no and was assaulted anyway.  There is no defense for this - for having two very large, muscular football players assaulting a powerless girl.

I have no clue if this story is true or false but I don't think Hamm would be running with the story unless something was there. The other thing that has to be a little alarming is that it occurred at Reveille Ranch, which houses a bunch of football players. I tend to think the story is true but Hamm is a complete idiot. I will say the fact that Zwimmerman tweeted the police report is pretty damning though, don't think he would be randomly tweeting that.

Not a good week for Texas programs. I had forgot all about Fields at TCU.

Hi, I've been out today, signed on, and this? Hmmm...

I'm puzzled. Checked the affidavits, but didn't see one with Meanders name written in. Granted, an add for Kindle kept coming up and blocking part of view, but Sanders name was on every page that I could access.

From what I read, that report is very credible, and I despise false reports. I understand the indefinite suspensions and removal from the dorm. Strong is doing what needs to be done, and what most coaches are too gutless to do!

@WVWilkerson: Strong's tough-love approach might, indeed, rub some people the wrong way. But spoke with one BIG-TIME recruit 2day that felt exact opposite
