Alderman – This weekend's matchup between Texas and Oklahoma State features two teams that seem to be heading in separate directions. While Texas has won the last two games in impressive fashion, the Cowboys have lost their last three by a total of 131-33 including being outscored 61-7 in the second half of each of the games.
The Longhorns match up quite well against Oklahoma State. Texas defends the pass extremely well and has been able to move the ball on the ground while on offense in recent games.
I expect Texas to start out quickly and put up a strong offensive effort in the first half. The defense will also force the Cowboys offense into passing downs and rely on the D-Line to put constant pressure on Garmon, which will turn into big turnovers.
The Longhorns have experienced hostile gameday atmospheres already in both Kansas State and Tech, so I don't expect that to be a factor in the outcome. While the weather will be cold, I haven't seen any forecasts that include rain or sleet.
The Longhorns are the better team and it will show on Saturday.

Carrara – Both teams really need this win but the Longhorns and Charlie Strong need it more. Texas becomes bowl eligible.
Texas 34
Oklahoma State 28
Cotcher – For me, the inescapable thing with this game is that Oklahoma State isn’t very good. Really, the only way I see Texas losing in Stillwater is if they are overconfident and not focused…and that ain’t happenin’ with this group of coaches. This game will not be as close as the score indicates.

Feeley – OK State is a program that seems to be in a slump. With wins over common opponents like Texas Tech and Kansas it seems like the Cowboys may be a comparable team. However as of late Oklahoma State suffeedr a loss by 24 points to West Virginia just two weeks ago, adding to a 3 game losing streak.
If Texas can play defense like they have all season long, and manage to put together an offensive attack like they did against WVU, the Longhorns will win this game.
The real test for the Longhorns (beside the weather) will be the 3rd Quarter. For some reason this team really struggles coming out of the half.

Flanagan – Both teams are very evenly matched. The great equalizer is the cold but just because Oklahoma State is "use to" the cold doesn't mean it won't affect them. I would say both teams are going to treat this game as a must win. Oklahoma State fans will be loud all game long. Given the injuries to the offensive line (or rumored injuries) for the Texas Longhorns, I don't expect enough cohesion on the offensive line to not make false starts and other penalties that put the offense in a bad position. At the end of the day, Oklahoma State will make enough plays for a close, low scoring win.

Hinton – Both teams have struggled quite a bit this season and neither team has played consistently all year. The weather conditions will likely keep this from being a high-scoring game, which favors the better defense---which is clearly Texas. But the Longhorns' offense, particularly the ground game, does just enough to get the job done. The Longhorns become bowl eligible this weekend.

Hopkins - Oklahoma state may have a big name, but the way UT has come together these last weeks, we will prevail. Our defense will take over their offense, and we will take home the W.

Roach – For the Longhorns, it’s scary to think the season might come down to one game on a cold night in Stillwater. Despite all of the bumps in the road, a trip to a bowl game would be tremendous for this program based on where it was after the BYU game. Texas was able to find something in their run game last week, and despite Tyrone Swoopes not playing well for a majority of the day, the Horns got a big win over a ranked West Virginia team. Both teams will be fighting for a chance to reach the finish line of bowl eligibility in a weather environment that can neutralize any advantage. Texas on defense should be able to shut down the erratic Daxx Garman. If they can corral the Oklahoma State running game and minimize mistakes they should be able to physically pound the ball on offense. Texas is the better team from what I’ve seen but will have to overcome the environmental challenges to get this big win.
