It appears Texas, for the first time this season, is facing an opponent who is struggling more than the Longhorns. Kansas holds a 0-8 overall record. Unlike last weekend against the Cyclones, Texas will be able to establish an offensive game against the Jayhawks. Johnathan Gray will rush for his second 100-yard game. Texas defense will feed off the momentum from the offense and make some big stops early in the game. The Longhorns will obtain their fourth win of the season against Kansas this weekend.

Score Prediction: Texas-30 Kansas-12

Though it's difficult to know what we are going to get week to week from this team this Saturday should be simple. Texas (even the train wreck that they are right now) is far more talented than Kansas. If there's ever been a week to try and re-vamp the passing game it is against a woeful Jayhawks team. Heard should find less of a pass rush and more wide open looks. I think John Burt gets back on the board this weekend with a deep touchdown pass. I expect Kirk Johnson to get some more reps this week and maybe even a carry or two. The Texas defense continues their strong play and score a touchdown as well.

Score Prediction: Texas 41 Kansas 6

Too many people -- including the team, apparently -- overlooked Iowa State. There's a lot of overlooking of Kansas, too, but this time it's warranted. This will be a scrimmage played in front of tens of thousands of fans. My breakdowns of Kansas games were limited because only the first 20-30 minutes were usable; after that, the opposing team's starters were giggling on the sideline and the Kansas offense had abandoned the run. Texas' defensive front should DOMINATE this football game. I don't see how Kansas could run the ball, but they may be able to move the ball intermittently with their quick passing game. Look especially for them to target slot receivers on inside fades and quick-outs. Defensively, the only thing limiting Texas will be Texas. Let's get an early lead and play some freshmen.

Score Prediction: Texas wins 34-7

While I would want to accurately predict the 2015 Texas Longhorns, I just can't do so. They are wildly unpredictable and a different team shows up each week. They are a typical young team. Play down to perceived weaker competition and play up for big games.

They will play down to Kansas much like Texas Tech did. However, Kansas is so bad that it won't matter.

Score Prediction: Texas wins 27-13

Man it just seems like this young team is just two steps forward one step back. But that is the nature of young team starting so many freshmen. There are going to be some inconsistencies.

Texas QB Jerrod Heard needs to trust his arm and receivers and the coaches need to as well. He can’t take any more really bad sacks. Look for Heard to play much better. The Texas defense needs to get off the field on 3rd down better. Once that happens this defense will look a lot better. They aren’t helping themselves by not getting off the grass.

Texas needs a bounce back win. I think this is the perfect time do that. Texas needs to go out and lay a smacking. Win by 30 or more points. I think they bounce back.

Score Prediction: Texas 31 Kansas 10

The Jayhawks are coming off a 62-7 thrashing at the hands of the Sooners last weekend - and they are winless on the season.  Texas notches win #4 with a gritty rushing performance against a rushing defense that ranks 119th out of 127 teams.

Score Prediction:  Texas 45, Kansas 17
