Alderman – When Texas takes the field against TCU on Thanksgiving evening, the Longhorns will be facing one of the best teams in the nation who rank at or near the top in most offensive categories.  While the Horned Frogs' offense will strike fear in most opponents, Texas has faced similar tests this year and have never looked like they didn't belong on the same field.

The Longhorns may not have many advantages in terms of individual group matchups, but they do have several things in their favor, including homefield advantage, the understanding that TCU has not played especially well on the road, and the fact that TCU has all of the pressure on their shoulders.

I expect Texas to have good game plans on both sides of the ball.  The defense will give TCU looks that they've never seen before, and the offense will start the game, moving the ball at will according to the set plays.

The late second quarter to the second half is where the offense has hit a wall in previous games.  If Texas wants to pull out an upset, they need to be able to hold on to the ball and score at least a TD in the third quarter.

I like all that the Longhorns have going for them, but I think TCU has the better team.

TCU – 28
Texas – 17

Carrara – Texas eats Frog for Thanksgiving and shocks TCU in its regular season finale, plays themselves into a Texas Bowl invitation.

Texas - 42

TCU - 38

Cotcher – For over a week, there hasn’t been a lot of doubt in my mind about whether or not Texas will beat TCU. I haven’t felt this confident about a win since the Horns traveled to Manhattan to play KSU.

Uh-Oh.

Regardless of what the matchup looks like on paper, or what the statistics say, the Horns enter this game as an extremely confident bunch. In the first half of the season, the locker room had to believe Charlie Strong when he told them they were better than their third quarter meltdown against BYU. The team had to believe Strong when he told them that they were better than their 4th quarter against UCLA. On Thanksgiving night, Texas players are going to line up across from TCU, and courtesy of a full season with these coaches and a four game winning streak, they know they’re better.

The other aspect to tomorrow night’s game that plays heavily in the Horns’ favor is pride and leadership. Thursday night is Senior night. Diggs, Reed, Harris, Shipley, Brown, Hicks, Thompson…that group isn’t going to walk off the field at DKR for the final time without leaving everything they have on it. The same goes for the team, who will play that same way in tribute to these Seniors that mean so much to them.

Confidence and pride are a hell of a combination….or I’m just a starry-eyed writer that’s over-romanticizing a matchup. Guess I’ll find out which is correct at DKR.

Texas – 28

TCU – 17

Flanagan – When you boil this game down, it's all about who has something to gain and who has something to lose. TCU has a lot to gain and a lot to lose. Texas has not much to gain or lose. They already became bowl eligible and a win or a loss won't change their bowl status all that much.

So that means TCU will win right? Wrong.

TCU will have all the pressure on them. Texas will not. They will be able to play loose and just enjoy the final game of the regular season. TCU has to show up and maybe even blow out Texas to jump Mississippi State if they don't lose this weekend to Ole Miss. Texas can just play their game and if they win, cool. If they don't? Oh well.

I think TCU wins but it won't be pretty.

TCU – 28

Texas – 24

Hinton – While this game has gigantic implications for the Horned Frogs, the Longhorns, on Senior Night, have a chance to make a statement of their own by defeating a Top 5 team and ending the season on a high note. On paper, TCU should handle the Horns, but as any fan knows, stats don't always matter. If Texas can come out early and get in the Horned Frogs' heads, they have a good chance to pull off the upset and I have a feeling that's exactly what happens.

Texas – 27

TCU – 24

Hopkins – TCU has experience and a high ranking team with quarterback that knows how to control his team. While the Longhorns are continually improving, this will be a huge test to see if we continue to grow and learn. Our defense needs to contain TCU's quarterback, and that will be a huge deciding factor in the outcome of this game. Though it will be a close one, my heart is telling me to go for Texas.

Texas – 24

TCU – 21

Roach – It’s amazing to see where this team has grown from the early season failures.  While the Horns haven’t beat any great teams on their current win streak they are showing the ability to win games in different environments and situations.  No one would have thought they’d be in position to play spoiler for TCU at the end of the season following that Kansas State defeat.

More importantly, Texas is in position to log a pretty substantial win over a top 5 team and put an exclamation mark on the first regular season under Charlie Strong.  Can they do it?  Yes, of course.

The Horns have the defense to play with anyone, and if they get a good day from the offense they can be truly dangerous.  ‘Will they do it?’, is another question.  I can see Texas winning this game easily, but the running quarterback factor for TCU worries me.  At this point, though I think the offense has improved, I don’t see them keeping up with TCU’s experienced offense.  Texas will give the Frogs a scare but come up short.

TCU – 31

Texas – 23

I am staying with 31-27 - Horns prevail.

The Eyes of Texas are upon you.

Hook 'Em!

Frogs win in a close one. Hope I'm wrong, but the sputtering 2nd half Horns offense hasn't solved its problem as of yet.

Probably going to go like the WVU game except TCU will not blow their opportunities like WVU did. 28-35 or 28-27....Could go either way depending on mindset of Horns and third qtr defense.

I think Hinton and Hopkins are going to be close.
