So is Mack staying til the bowl?

Please stay to the bowl game. As Oregon is destroying Texas, I want constant camera shots of Mack squirming.

He can have a stroke for all I care.

Wishing someone would have a stroke. Really? Please tell me you are a better person than that.

Well who knows at this point? I sure don't. I'm just going to wait and see. Mack has a contract that runs until 2020 from what I have read. After all the rumors nobody expects that he will stay that long, but that is what he can tell the recruits that are incoming. In actuality nobody knows how long Mack will stay. He may retire at any time. Could be tomorrow, next week, next year, or in several years, but until he does, he is the coach and is not yet in any danger of getting fired. Why? Because we are is a divided fanbase. In my opinion while there are most certainly BMD's that want to see Mack gone and would fire him, there are enough BMD's and power wielders still in the Mack camp to prevent this from happening.

Even though the there is a sizable number of people that think Texas should win the NC at least every 4 years, always play in a BCS bowl, and always at least win the conference championship, based on what I have seen in my lifetime, I would would have to say that was highly improbable to happen even if they had hired Saban. And although they are a vocal group, the "Mack haters" do not have enough money or firepower to fire Mack so the only way Mack is gone is if he decides to leave on his own. At least Mack did have Texas good enough by the end of the season to play in what was a defacto conference championship this year, and had they won that game they would be playing in a BCS bowl. But, we were beat by a better team in that game. Not even Texas is going to FIRE a coach that had his team in contention for the conference title until the last game of the season.

And, as a matter of opinion, this team is a mobile QB that can both run and throw the ball away from being a top 5 team. You can't do much on offense these days without a very good QB which we did not have.
