How can so many people judge this hire when they haven't even seen what he can do as a coach at Texas? Patterson obviously hired him for some reason.

We just got a coach that has won multiple national titles as a defensive coordinator, a BCS game at a mid tier school, and gives us a foothold in a recruiting hotbed in Florida. Did you see how bad Louisville was before Strong got there? Some of you act like he's a Franchione. The guy coached the number one defensive team in the country this year. We need to stop being so entitled, and give a great coach a chance.

Strongly agree. CS has done nothing wrong and has great potential. Not his fault that he was hired. Patterson should get some pain for not fully vetting a full list of candidates. Strong was not my first choice, or 4th, but was on my acceptable list. He needs a BAMF OC and complete top notch staff. From there he looks to have what he needs to win big. Hiring of Staff is what I am most curious about and this is a skill of great leaders.

Strong is a huge upgrade over Mack as a true coach. Let's see the staff he assembles and how he finishes the 2014 class before judging him
