With losses by 6 of the Top 10 teams last night, are their fan bases melting down?

1 FL, 2 TCU, 4 Vandy, 6 S.Car, 8 Rice, 9 USC all lost last night.

Baseball is a funny game.

And UTA beat #16 UC Santa Barbara

Current radar is not looking promising for the first game.

Aggy undefeated?? They that good?
As of today, their SOS is 203.  By comparison, Texas' is 20.

While undefeated is nothing to scoff at, I'll let you be the judge.

I maintain that I'd much rather play a really tough non-conference schedule in baseball to prepare you for conference play and post season over playing a bunch of cupcakes just to rack up Ws.

A few scores of interest from today:

#1 Florida lost to Ole Miss 5-2 in the first of their DH today.  (FL is up 5-0 in T4 in the night cap)

#5 A&M won the first of their DH v Alabama 10-5, but are losing the night cap 6-2 T9

#8 Rice lost to Old Dominion 9-8

#12 UCF lost to Presbyterian 8-6

I've seen quite a bit of A&M. They have a good starter in Long and a good pen. The problem is their #2 and #3 starters won't get the job done come postseason play (Larkins and Kent). You've got to have some arms that can give you 7 innings come June, I don't think A&M has that against good competition. Both Larkins and Kent were hit hard this weekend against a decent but not great Bama squad

The ags have the hardest part of the schedule in front of them but miss both Vandy and Florida this year. They also missed rice in the Houston tournament. It's smoke and mirrors out of Olsen, but what else is new.

Bama was their first true road series. 22 games before they played a series on the road.

Careful on Larkins.. this kid will be the real deal.. can flat out pitch.. He is just a freshman and will be much better in May and June..

You don't really know how good a team is until May. I anticipate us being a lot better playing with a sense of urgency. It's hard to know who is good and who isn't with the lack of college baseball coverage. Ik LSU has been killing folks

TCU about to win game #2 against OkStU. That'll be a split and make tomorrow's rubber a huge game in the league.
