SEC & Bowl Manipulation

Down Goes Frazier!

SEC should perhaps think about leaving the playoff and just having their own post season; that way they could present National Championships to their conference without worrying about choking like this.

2-5

That was with their committee assigning the bowl games. Slive must have known that his conference is a house of cards. They did their best to rig the bowl season and failed.

What a joke!

Huh, 2-5 for the glorious SEC West... all that jockeying and manipulation by the SEC Cigar Chompers didn't work out so well.

Maybe they would have been better served by letting the bowl committees choose what teams THEY wanted....

Finebaum Spin: Well, Alabama was pieced together. Sure. Glad OSU wasn't, I mean what is the difference between the first & third string qb? Negligible right? I'm sure OSU had no other injuries, either.

The spin cycle begins...C'mon, Paul, you can say it, o v e r r a t e d!

Ya mean the SEC doesn't produce rocket scientists? I am shocked, simply shocked.

Watching ESPN now & they were stating that the $ec was pushing the 4 team play-off so they could get 2 teams in. Really? Arrogance much?

Bowl manipulation is completely dishonest.  What would have happened if TAMU had told the SEC they didn't care what the SEC wanted, they were playing UT?  Would the SEC kick them out?  Would they try to withhold bowl proceeds?

The lawyers would love this.

In my day, schools were the entities that decided what bowl they would play in - not the conferences.
