Saturday Night - Totally Non-Football

What I'm suggesting is that you turn the system off at the Control Panel, usually located in your garage.
Your lines are supposed to be a 6" depth, so they won't freeze. Ditto for the master valve.

Over the course of time, I've seen too many systems left in the "auto" position that come on and create catastrophe during freezing temps. That can be very bad. A freeze sensor will prevent this, but many systems still do not have them.
Gotcha, thanks SHA. Didn't think I'd have a problem with exposed pipes freezing, but I'll double check. Follow up question - I put in some Azaleas this fall. Should I cover them? Think they should be alright but figured I'd ask the expert. I'm north of Houston, so temperatures are mid/low 20s.

We're out at the ranch, having BBQ, riding the four wheeler, shooting guns, exploring the cave, watching football, burning $#@!... You know, ranch stuff. Good times.
Damn, I'm jealous.

Those Azaleas should be just fine without having to cover them. We haven't had rain in a while so you might give them some water, along with the other plantings you have.

Established shrubs and trees should not require your attention in this.

Almost forgot - cover your water spigots!

Try this one on for size Randolph Duke . . . this would be a good time to light up a stogie, or cohiba, or whatever . . .

Since we're talking tunes, give this a try. Turn it up too.

Help! Stuck in Otis Taylor mode! If you liked the theme song to "The Shooter" here it is . . .
