Saban vetting staff...

Not that McPhaul or Hornsports needs validation on their information but it is always nice to see the competition finally see the light.

I think people generally react when Orangebloods posts something like this because they generally are so cumbersome to run with stories unless they are sourced and confirmed multiple times. They are so gun shy to run with something because of the times they've been burned in the past that when they do say something like this it gets picked up all over the place.

Just look at how quickly the Mack news spread once they reported it, despite the fact that Hornsports and IT had been running with it for weeks. That's why people react the way they do. To those of us who have been listening to McPhaul and Jesus, the Saban information isn't new, but to the ones who have been skeptical, Ketch talking about it adds a new level of believability.

Very well stated, LongviewLobo01. The fact that Ketch is willing to put this out there on OB should be taken a strong sign that the correct things are happening behind the scenes that will end with the results we are all expecting. Do not get me wrong, there will continue to be significant smoke screens all the way until the time Mack officially announces his retirement (still hearing tomorrow) and Saban is announced as the new head coach (most likely Tuesday is what I am hearing now but could still be Monday). Have faith and treat this announcement from Ketch as a signal.

Bingo.

Ketch got badly burnt on "It's Austin", so he's become MUCH more conservative.

Exactly. Between Austin and Addazzio that year he's just scared to put his neck out anymore. And it's understandable because it seems like his site is under the gun a lot more than the others, but it's still a pain that OB gets all the credit for what other people have been saying for much longer times. I know McPhaul isn't one to make it an issue, but it's still weird seeing ESPN reporting on Mack using Orangebloods as the source and nobody else.

ESPN owns 104.9 the horn which has Chip Brown and Chad Hastings morning show. So there is a partnership there.

I just ran around the room but naked.. I know not a pretty picture.. But damn fun. LOL
I just threw up in my mouth. I wonder why I did that. I never thought reading something could cause that.
