Saban- Call Your Shot

Jamail sues UT - Jamail gives money to UT - In essence, Jamail sues himself.
Jamail gives money to UT and has his name and pictures displayed all over the place, then sues UT to get the money back. Good deal. ;)

Sounds like what lawyers normally do. At least he's doing something. I know some civil and criminal defense lawyers just take the money without doing anything.

Nick needs to make the move.
He can stay at Bama and face a loud, fickle fan base and several tough teams in 2014 ( e.g. Auburn) with an inexperienced QB, OR

continue toward a legacy no college coach has ever accomplished......NC's at three programs.

I think (or darn sure hope) he comes to Austin.
When you are talking about fickle fans I thought you were referring to Texas fans .....

I think Mack will realize that it would be in his best interest to announce his retirement, soon! I also believe that all of the things that McP has pointed out are real and that NS will be our next coach at Texas

+1 Saban

(although some of the other names on the rumored list dont sound that bad to me either)

The Powerbrokers are trying to cram Saban down Powers throat and he is not in favor.
Is this why Dodds retired?

He was told the same and refused. Dodds said something like, "Not me, I have had enough and will not let you force me to do that. Let the next guy be the one to fire Mack Brown."

I think we end up with a great coach thats right for UT but it wont be Saban. I hope I'm wrong.

Folks, for what it's worth, I just heard a little while ago that Saban was in Austin last night. Flew in on a different private jet and had a small police escort (not Austin or County officers). Yes, I got this "2nd hand," but I have no reason to doubt either of the two people that shared this.

not that it is out of the question but it would have had to have been pretty late since he was in orlando last night. unless that was a cutout of him in the seats.

I'm sorry, I didn't even notice what time he said it was (he showed me the text he received). I'll ask him when he gets back I work (it's my boss).

JJ is Mack's attorney. However, JJ is also dedicated to UT. JJ has been receptive to change.
IMO, JJ is our ace in the hole. I would want no one else advising or influencing him at this time.
In that case Joe Jamail has a conflict of interest and should withdraw as Mack's attorney, or he would be trotting the line of legal malpractice and expose himself to suit.

I think we have a real shot to get Saban. I guess if I was to put a percentage on it. I will say 81% chance at this point.

Ok, I re-read the text I mentioned earlier. It was sent last night at about 8:30 and said "today." So, it could have been yesterday morning or afternoon, sometime. I know, not much to go on and could be complete crap, but I thought I would pass it along, anyway!

Not even close. Jamail isn't an employee of the university, he's a donor. He can represent Mack and still cut checks to the school.

I have been a member of OB for almost 5 years now. In that time, I have seen info posted by many insiders. One thing I have noticed, is that the insiders on here and the few left on OB that are posting, have always been pretty consistant. Mcphaul, Shaunsters, and El Mahico (Which by the way, I am damn glad you are over here now as well). I am going to have to go with them on this one, and say that Saban is ours!
