**Running College Football Updates Thread**

So they're giving $6K to each football player just to pass their required courses and calling it an academic scholarship?
This is the academic enhancement benefit that got the green light this last year. Texas athletes were eligible for the benefit starting this spring. I believe something like only 20 or so NCAA schools were set to start participating.

I wonder what the criteria is for receiving this additional money. Is it a minimum GPA in their chosen field, or just pass the required courses? It sounds like that is up to the school and the student leaders. Also sounds like each school could have a different criteria.

Only 20 schools set to participate.   Sounds like the start of a SUPER Conference were by only money schools can participate.  Eventually there is going to be college football plus and then college football for every one else.
