Transfer Portal on 3. Last year Washington was the 12th ranked softball team. Alabama was 13th.

But if you're in it for the education Alabama is 170th and Washington is 40th. BTW Texas is 32nd. Source: US News.

If you're a proven coach at a solid P5 program, why would you choose to step into Saban's lingering shadow? The best you could ever do is match the GOAT, and that's highly unlikely in today's environment. Therefore, I predict Bama ends up with a second tier choice like Rees.
