The issue with Penix has to do with Michigans defensive schemes. They are showing him different looks and making him go through his progressions. Right now he doesn’t look comfortable with what he is seeing.

It’s obvious Washington is weak vs the run but we kept pushing the pass when Ewers wasn’t very good. Just wonder how much of ego that was trying to show up the number 1 pass offense in the league

McCarthy has completed 6 passes and Washington is now stacking the box. They are forcing McCarthy to beat them with the pass. He’s failing to do so
