Reports: Stan Drayton Joining Tom Herman's Staff (Hire is now official)

Looks like the final piece of the puzzle for Tom Herman's staff is being put in place. As long speculated, Chicago Bears RB coach Stan Drayton will be taking the same position on Herman's staff at Texas.

Sticking with the theme of coaches who can coach and recruit, enter Stan Drayton.

Stan Drayton has very deep ties within the DFW market (a severe need) and was responsible for the recruitment of and commitment of EIGHTEEN 4⭐️ recruits during his 11 year run as a P5 coach.

Among those 18 were names like, Cam Newton, Ezekiel Elliott, Curtis Samuel, Marshon Latimore, and the Pouncey twins.

To add to this Ezekiel Elliott credits him for his success in college.

Not to mention the fact that he comes from the NFL, coached Chicago RB Jordan Howard to a tremendous start to his career, and has had numerous successful runs as a RB coach in the college ranks.

While this may not be the all-star staff that some of us envisioned; I believe Herman gets high grades for the staff he has assembled.  We probably underestimate the fact that these are people he knows /  has worked with before (and it went well).  

Bravo.... now finish out the class of 17; win the Big 12 and then the national championship in 18.  Keep it realistic fans!
