As most of you know, Jalen Campell and Texas have decided to revalute their commiments to one another.  You can go ahead a scratch off Campell as a commitment for Texas.  I would be surprsied if Cambell ends up at Texas.

Now. for the latest news, Patrick Vahe is strongely considering his commitment to Texas and I'm being told that LSU is a big player in his recruitment.

As most of you are aware theTeuhemae brothers are Vahe's cousins' and this is something to keep on eye one.

very recently, the OB has pointed out that "jalen campbell" is a bit undersized at his position.  more so, then what coach strong is usually comfortable with.  they also stated that the coach strong regime, has been totally reevaluating all aspects as per "jalen's" past injury, in lieu of his current conditioning / rehab.

You make it sound as if Campbell/UT was mutual. I thought it was all about texas doing the re-eval.

Vahe would be a big loss.  Campbell not so much.

It's easier to find DBs with Jalen's physical attributes and skill set than it is to find another road-grating G with Patrick's size.

I've always thought Vahe would eventually switch to LSU to play with his cousins, but I sure hope he stays.

i'm just not worried about recruiting at this point.  we get who wants to be here and need to wait to build some momentum in the fall.  once we win it'll sort itself out.  i used to fret over recruits and then it hit me that i was fretting over 17-18 year old kids.  at that point, i just said F@#K it.  what happens, happens.  texas will get its share of good kids.  strong needs to have a year to begin establishing his brand.  we all knew we'd lose some kids and my attitude at this point is just so be it.

I thought I read somewhere after after he got invited to the opening he was still totally committed to UT. What changed his mind? Playing with cousins?

I think Vahe sticks with us.

But either way I agree with what slim said above.

CS is into his first full year of recruiting he is still getting his feet wet on how to recruite these Texas kids. In the end CS and Texas is going to be just fine. Besides most kids who wanted to come to Texas and then changed his mind never amounted to very much at the college he decided to go to. My friends y'all have agreat weekend
