Quick note on the June Amatuer MLB Draft

Blair Henley taken in the 7th round by the Astros.

Hamilton goes in the 8th to the Brewers.

Both of those slots are around 150k... Henley should probably go ahead senior year players don’t have much leverage. Hamilton still has two years left so he could comeback after the injury.

McComas saying Ham’s offer is rumored to be ~$400k. I personally don’t think he passes on that.

Wow they found some extra money somewhere that’s a lot for someone coming off an injury that had some questions anyway. Take that and run DHam

He has 3 for sure plus tools. Defense, arm, and speed. The bat made HUGE strides as a sophomore so if he keeps that up he can play in the bigs no doubt!

@joeywa I heard Bryce Reagan is transferring. What have you heard? Was he not happy here?

That is correct.

Bryce needs a fresh start somewhere. He has the tools but I think he was asked to perform a very difficult task as a freshman whenever Ham went down, and the errors got into his head. Some be scenery will help the young man.

Have heard mixed things about whether he is leaving on his own or was told it would be best to depart. Either way, it sounds like it’s on good terms and I wish him luck and success moving forward.

I’ll do a brief recap later tonight.
