Ricky,

If your attitude is that UT may never get another chance, you and I are simply talking about two different programs. Victories should never come as a surprise. They should be expected, and acting like a chicken with its head cut off should not be a part of it. Remember that the baseball team never dogpiles, except in Omaha. That should be reflected by our actions, as well. As Coach Royal, used to say, "Act like you've been there before." Call me old school.
It's not a case of being surprised by victory its allowing yourself to enjoy the moment. I don't see the relation to nicknaming Shane and Ty to running around like a chicken with your head cut off or acting like you've been here before. I'm old school as well, enough so to remember its a game and its suppose to be fun. It was never my intention to offend.

C'mon Duke, not like you to piss on the parade. You are old school and I love you for it, but tell me you honestly expected this outcome, so it's no big deal. Really?

No one is talking smack. The intention here,IMO, is to complement the players on their success and to have fun with

it. That's all.

When 10 win seasons become the norm again, then a win over a top 10 team may not be that big a deal, but for now, "let's just enjoy the moment", as Ricky says.

BTW, I think Coach Royal made that statement prior to a big game with NC implications to calm the players nerves. Feel free to correct me on that.

My two favorites, so far, are "Buchee and the Beast" and "Arm and Hammer".
