I used to think that UT fans were different. They weren't like all those other fan bases who cream their jeans after one game and start talking shit way too damn early. This thread proves me wrong.

Duke, as I have read your post in the past I had concluded that, like myself, you are "seasoned" or "long in the tooth". Through this winding path of life I have learned many lessons. One of, if not the most important is the brevity of time we have. That realization inspired me in two significant ways. One is knowing that the journey not the destination is where true joy is found. The other is to have fun in each moment even if it seems insignificant at the time. In other words, "cream your jeans" every chance you get because you may never get another chance.

If your attitude is that UT may never get another chance, you and I are simply talking about two different programs. Victories should never come as a surprise. They should be expected, and acting like a chicken with its head cut off should not be a part of it. Remember that the baseball team never dogpiles, except in Omaha. That should be reflected by our actions, as well. As Coach Royal, used to say, "Act like you've been there before." Call me old school.
