Good to see Sterlin utilize Ty the way many of us had hoped in the 18-Wheeler package.

Now that his confidence is up, he should try to mix in a few play-action passes. UTEP is a good opponent to add these to Ty's repertoire. We may need him to execute more POP plays in close Big12 games.

Swoopes is a lot of fun to watch.  It is interesting to me how he is such an upright runner.  I played fullback, so my initial response is to tell him to use body lean like Earl Campbell did.  But, if you watch him, his vision is so good,  and he is so patient as plays develop.  He follows his blocks ... he pauses ... he does a little hippity here ... he does a little hoppity there ... and when he gets a little opening ... BAM !!!  He may not have John Burt's speed, but he does get to what speed he does have pretty quickly, and even if he does tend to run upright, he is such a big physical specimen, that he does tend to shed defenders ... and besides, I guess he has to save that lean for those end zone dives !!!

I'll tell you this much we need to locked and loaded when they face there next three opponents: California, Okie St., And OU.
