Um..... just on the spot like this?

Egg on the face not getting Saban, so I'd get rid of Brown, form the "committee", and then:

1 - First call up Mike Tomlin's and Urban Meyer's folks just to see what they say since both allegedly asked for it, probably get told no, and move on quickly.

2 - Take a look at guys who have rebuilt programs into an elite level while doing so with a knack for getting the "diamonds" people missed.

From there, I honestly don't know.

There can't be a plan B because Mack hasn't even been fired yet. I'm not sure that's even going to happen now.

It looks like a complete clown show right now.

I would call the following people and make them say no with a money whip offer:

Harbaugh

Meyer

Other Harbaugh

Tomlin

Shaw

Gruden

When they all say no (I expect them to) I would call the following (in order):

Fisher

Gundy

Malzahn

Strong

If they say no:

Jim Mira Jr.

Gary Anderson

Briles

After that look for NFL Coordinators who are potential home run hires:

Mike Zimmer

Pep Hamilton

Greg Roman

OK I am running out of names now. #anyonebutmackbrown

Have seen nothing official on the Saban extension yet. If anyone has seen it please post.

I'm pretty sure Plan B is Mack for more than just 2014. I'm ready to book it.

How bad does Texas look if it really went to calling the 8th option.....
Doubt it would ever get to the 8th choice but people won't even remember things like this if they win. Nothing to worry about IMO.

Pete Carroll was USC's 4th choice.

Point taken.

not sure but I think there are many good choices out there

Saban or not I still dont think Mack is coming back.

Another name I wouldn't mind giving a look to if the top candidates are out of play is Lovie Smith.

Name came up and people laughed, but the man can coach, and hes from Texas. Only 55 years old. Has more skins on the wall than Sumlin.

Yeah...I like that.
