Positive news on Ronnie Major it seems

Jeff Howe says Major is finishing up his school requirements.

And, according to Major, it is now only a matter of when (not if).

For sure underrated. I think his recruiting ranking was lower than his actual skill set because some people saw him as a non-qualifier.

I said this back a month before NSD, but people who would know this sort of thing told me back then that Major had the highest upside of any OL in the state.

I thought I told you not to repeat what I said. Now everyone's going to want my player opinions.

Swaim is a significant loss, an outstanding blocker. Maybe the best blocker on the team the past 2 years.

MJ McFarland isn't much of a loss.
Swaim was the biggest loss for sure.  We are very thin at experience at TE.

Peyton was a very nice addition.  I love how the kid stays on his blocks until the play is over or his assignment is on the ground.

I love Vahe, but Major's upside is much higher.

Vahe is nursing an injury right now, fyi.
I hope Vahe's injury heals okay and soon...unless he redshirts this year, I expected him to see early action

and help improve Texas' OL.  Of the most recent recruiting class, he was at the top of my list insofar as

being excited about "players we got" and added to the team. Texas needs better OL play and I'm hoping

(and counting on) players like Vahe will provide that. Vahe committed to Texas early and I was concerned

and afraid he would de-commit...and was very happy when he didn't. I hope his injury heals and he helps

Texas get back to The Promised Land...that Land being among the best of NCAA College Football!
