Please take with a grain of salt . . . .

1. David Shaw

2. OP - Thanks for posting it and sorry you got kinda slammed for it. I want to hear any information thats out there right now and filter it out as I see fit. Regarding your post, I wouldn't put it past someone to think they can "save the day" and go make a visit or talk to someone, but at the end of the day I figure the nearly $10 billion of the Big Three are doing what they want to do with Saban.

By all means though, if you hear anything else throw it up here. Thanks for joining the site and stick around.

Also, there are regents posting on various websites and they are very upset all this is leaking.

I've always wondered if some of the "inside info" leaking from various people has ruined this. That's not a jab at McPhaul. I'm going to eventually buy him the cheapest cold beer this city has to offer. But I've wonder if the "jumping of the gun" can hurt. Then again, I don't care too much. I just want Mack gone. He's acting like a big baby.

shaunsters is correct...its the 3 amigos ive been referencing since september...shaw has already told the group, thanks but no thannks....

So do we know fo sho who the backups are in case Saban has a change of heart?

Shaw just signed an extension with Stanford - I know that might mean nothing, but I think it's telling.

Jimbo is in the NC game - unless he has real estate debts like Saban, I don't see why he would leave FSU. Maybe - he was on the hot seat not very long ago with impatient fans.

Thanks, Whisenant.

I don't worry too much about being slammed as much as I want to provide honest information to this conversation. I'm not one to simply post a rumor to stimulate the conversation. But, like I eluded to in my original post, anything is possible at this juncture. But I do appreciate your kinds and I love being a part of this community. I believe the folks on here are sincere and simply enjoy good dialogue. Look forward to watching this play out over the next few days. :)

Pretty hard to believe as Saban and Powers just talked yesterday and the word is it went well... but thanks for sharing
Take it for what it's worth, but Chip Brown says his high level sources are emphatically denying that Nick Saban met with Bill Powers yesterday.

Shaw isn't an option. As of now. Your buddy info is wrong. The Big3 are handling this, no one else. If Saban falls through its Fisher. Who would be next
Fisher?

Just for clarity, who are these BIG 3 Shaunsters is referring too?
1. Steven Hicks - regent with the leverage to make this ship sail. Probably currently the most powerful man in Longhorns athletics.

2. Bob Rowling - ex-regent and billionaire who likes to get things done. It's in his DNA. He's a mover and he wants to get this done.

3. Jim Bob Moffett - we've all heard of this successful businessman and ex-Longhorn.

My BIL has known Rex Tillerson for nearly 20 years. He's not involved in the day to day, but he's doing his part behind the scenes.

Tom Hicks - the brother of Steven is usually involved in the big coaching hires and he's very good at it.
