Texas is 17-7 the past two seasons including last years bowl win. Aggy is 19-5 over the same time frame including there bowl win. If they lose to Mizzou today it will be 19-6 which is only a one game difference. The crazy thing Longhorn nation is complete unrest and pretty much the entire nation thinks we are under achieving. However aggy after today will only be one win better than us yet the there entire fan base thinks they are on top of the world and does most of the nation. Perception is so strange sometimes. I think it has to do with one thing only.. and yes it's Johnny Manziel. Amazing how one player can make a average team become the toast of Texas..

It has to do with 2 things. Johnny Football and the SEC. Everyone in the media gives teams in the SEC the benefit of the doubt. You see it everywhere. The fact that A&M is in the SEC has made their entire perception nationally much different. They finished 3rd in their division last year and are going to finish 4th in their division this year. They have beaten only one of the top teams in the SEC that they have played. Without JFF they probably lose 2-3 more games each year. It's amazing to me how they are fixing to sign their coach to a 6-year extension that is probably going to pay him near $5 million a season despite him having won jack squat.

Can you imagine what they are going to think next year if we end up with Saban? Man the meltdown would be priceless.

Perception is a major element of college football. There are 120 teams in college football, right now only 2 play for a national title. Next year it only increases to 4.

Every Saturday literally defines your season and the outlook of next season. The outlook for next season is crucial in recruiting. I mean these kids who haven't decided on their school until signing day look hard on what others say the perception is of that program. Not to mention the next year's recruiting class where many decide in the offseason and don't really open in back up.

You have 12 Saturdays to define your program and that's more important than ever with the emergence of social media.
