Pelini Fired

i guess hiring a guy who hasn't had a single top-15 finish in 18 (18!) seasons as a head coach speaks to where NU is on the coaching food chain right now.

Oh that is a shame I am so up set that big ass wipe is gone that it will keep me up all night. He is the type that OU likes look for Stoops to come calling.      My friends y'all have a great weekend

5 years ago today Texas beat Nebraska to win the Big 12 Title & a spot in the BCS title game

Once a d-bag, always a d-bag. Doesn't matter where he goes or who he works with. He sure sounds like a "core value" kind of guy. Great leader of young men. Always lashes out like a spoiled kid when he doesn't win or get his way. Enjoy the lower division, and say goodbye to your ability to work at the highest level.

PS: you and your d-bag bro still lost to Colt in the Big12 title game, maybe you got out coached.

Academia is full of chickenshits. Not surprised that Bo feels this way. The vast majority of common people that would have to work with these people would have the same mindset. I would hope I would handle myself better in the long run.

With that idea in mind, the dumbass should have stayed in the NFL rather than coach at an academic institution.

I'm happy for Bo. He gets to coach at a stress-free place with an administration that knows something about a football program.I can't imagine how disheartening it is to have a lawyer sitting at a desk without any idea of running a football program making the decisions that determine how successful your program will be long-term. Bo wasn't asking for the world at Nebraska and he got next to nothing in support. Compare the Nebraska program 3-5 years ago to now and I can see why Bo isn't the only one at Nebraska distraught about the direction of the athletic department. They fired a coach who consistently won 9 games a year and brought in someone who peaks at 9 wins.

NU's chancellor, Perlman, doomed the Huskers' athletic department with a move to the B1G.

No traditional rivalries, longer travel, and a Rust Belt recruiting footprint.  All for a few more B1G Network dollars and the dream of hobknobbing with the B1G academic snobs to gain access to their CIC grant money.  I don't see this ending well for them.

A&M's move to the SEC is genius by comparison.
