One Month Around the World Vacation

I'm jealous. Best part of my days in the Coast Guard were traveling the world. Enjoy it.

Bon Voyage Girl. Enjoy.....

PS.... Get the international roaming option for the month with your phone/internet carrier. Lots of wifi places around the world and you won't have to pay exorbitant fees with your carrier.

Give us periodic updates on where you are.....

First of all, enjoy yourself!  But, doncha dare not give us frequent updates!  ;)

I think we need one of those flight tracker thingies.

lsampson, not meaning to get too personal or change the direction of this thread, too much at least, but is that your children in your photo profile?  If they are, you are one lucky Daddy!  Be sure and tell their Momma that she sure did a good job, in spite of you!  ;)

Yep...they're mine...I think...  :)

I do agree, though, that the kids get the looks from their mother!

Thanks!

Beautiful children.  Congratulations to their mother!  Great photo, too.  Wonderful color coordination.  The reason that I asked, as beautiful as your daughter is ... is because of your son's hair style.  I know that today parents put styling gel on their kid's hair to get that look.  But, when I was a kid in the early fifties, that was the look that mothers would attempt to  do away with with butch wax and such.  You see, that look came about originally by the very natural look that results from young boys sleeping on their head on one side and then turning over with the intense application of head pressure on the other side of the head for the rest of the night.  The result of course, is the "wedge head".  I had it, and your son has it.  And mothers around the world have now institutionalized it.  When the time comes that your son is ready, not before, be sure and induct him into the cult of the Wedge Heads.  It is almost as good as being a Longhorn, but not quite.  ;)

Postscript - Sorry to hijack your around the world thread, SFLonghorngirl !

Haha! I guess I'm a semi wedge head because I have hair kinda like that. I'm trying to look younger than I really am.

OKAY ... so, now we know wherein the problem lies!  I notice that your little girl does not seem to have such problems!  ;)

Howdy!  I've made it to Madrid!  I'm waiting for my friend from Dubai to join me.  It's about 7:45pm and Spaniards eat late!  Most restaurants don't open until 8pm.

Connecting through London Heathrow, I had some fish and chips and a London Pride ale for lunch.  Both quite tasty.  Haven't slept in 2 days and feel exhausted but the excitement of eating good food keeps me going.  I'm all about food! :)
