Ok What Now

There will be plenty of them running and hiding, my friend. Honestly that is probably a good thing.

As for me, I will watch the Longhorns and proudly support them, come hell or high water. If I could be a fan in the 80's and 90's, I sure as heck ain't going to stop now.

What now?  Well, I think I'll pull the ribs off the pit, pour me a glass of rye and relax and watch the evening games.  It's 80 degrees in the PacNW on October 4th, the wife is off to Pullman to go to a football game with my daughter, my son is at some community service thing for his leadership group at school, so I'm home alone.  That doesn't happen often.  I plan to kick back and enjoy it.

Jeff I am looking forward to taking a trip to the PNW and and if Deb don't get some of your good BBQ there might be a killing. Oh I forgot hell yea the aggy got there butts kicked by my cousins Mississippi St. I am sure I will be getting some phone calls tomorrow. I am going to tell them nice job by those Mississippi St Bull Bogs.My friends y'all have a great Sunday and go Texans.

Jim...I got the formula for you. I just got back from Savannah and I promise you this works.

You and Deb drive over to Savannah and stay a few days. Eat lunch at Mrs Wilkes and you won't need to eat any supper. So put on your Texas gear and go up on top of the Bohemian Hotel in late afternoon, sip some of their Savannah Tea, look out over the river and watch the sun go down. You're surely going to draw a little attention with your Texas hat on (like I did)...and guess who came over and shot the sh^^ with us?? Two young Baylor couples in town for a holiday. We had a blast shooting the bull...and truthfully...deep down..they know they're still climbing out of the cellar. But they're optimistic and rightfully so.

And one day for lunch go over to that Pink House next to Planters Inn and have you some Shrimp and Grits. That night head down to The Crystal Beer Parlor. Repeat for about 3 days...you might want to change your Texas gear every day... and come on back home. You'll feel great and pretty much ready to face anything the rest of the season has in store for you.   I do...and I'll be wearing my Texas gear every step of the way.

Something about Savannah that just takes the pain away, Even the Georgia Bulldog fans aren't buttholes. They've been through enough misery to be able to sympathize.

I am all in! Give it time - It will get better. Charlie knows what he is doing!
I'm in...Headed to Dallas to support the Horns !!!!

Yes, it will get better...It can't get too much worse.

No, ( game decisions???? ) Charlie doesn't know what he is doing......Bonehead moves.

Does Belmont want a champion or just a team that competes ?

That will determine how long Strong stays around.

You have an open invitation to the Man Pit, Jim. I may even make an exception and let Deb down there as well.  ;)

Settle down guys for cryin' out loud.  The offensive line is a major problem but these guys will get better with playing time.  Don't bash the coaches over this either. The sky is not falling despite what some of you are claiming.
Strong and Watson need to go out and secure a real JUCO quarterback that can play from day one if needed. We've all seen tough times in Austin.  This is no different and we WILL make it through.  Support this team and the coaches because they need it.  Longhorn Nation needs it.

This is an exciting time right now, in my opinion. Being able to watch a program being rebuilt and watching steady improvement is a fun process.
On that note, it will also be more satisfying when Texas wins big again.

There is very little one person can do to change a program (Unless you're T Boone Pickens but I digress). But if you are a fan of a program that is down, wear your hat with pride. When a stranger comes up to you and say "Hey tough loss today," just say "Yep, but we are in rebuilding mode. We'll get better in time."

And quite frankly (and I know this is sacrilegious on a sports website), there is more to life than Football. I do believe that fans should show some frustration, it shows you care. It's when you let the state of your team affect your attitude and outlook on life to where you need to step back and say "Hey, this is just a game. Everything is okay." Take a deep breath and go do something else. Most people do this to some extent but we all know that one person that is way too into the game.

I don't think the fans saying on Texas message boards are really going to stop supporting the team. The fans are mad because they don't like to lose and always want to win. They are venting their frustration and by Monday (hopefully), cooler heads have prevailed.

So to the question "What now?" Enjoy the process. Savor every win and be happy that you have the ability to watch these games.

its gut check time, time to find out who has the sack and who doesnt, the year is NOT lost, TEXAS can still have a sayso in who plays for the marbles..OU aint that big a monster, it will take a huge team effort and some UT pride to pull out a win in Big D, but the D has shown they can hang, the offense needs to make every possession count, especially in the red zone, Texas has come in to this game with less talent and come out on top...Its time for the Horns to leave it all out on the field, take no prisoners..sell out and shoot the works

I will stay with my team to the last man standing....
