I love college sports and the tradition that every school has. But the whole 'yell' thing from practice to leaders and everything else is the bestest.

Zach Ledwik left the team yesterday. It sounds like former 4 star Justin Manning hasn't shown up to practice, and might be gone.

A&M was a good fit in the BigXII.

BigXII is centric to the State of Texas. (give or take choice of term)

A&M is still more Texas than South and would have "had fun" competing against fellow Texas high school players.

Plus the annual Thanksgiving Day game that comes with a biannual visit to the city, with a parade up to the Capital.

Frankly I say they gave up the real quality and essence of their campus, program and sports.

And will come to regret it. Sooner than later.

The SEC move was focused on football. All about football. They forget about basketball and baseball. And women's basketball. And both teams of Track & Field. And swimming and diving. Not to mention the total connection to generations of Texas families, towns and counties.

In total, the knee-jerk move is maybe the most classic 'aggie' thing ever done. The opposite of where they most fit if you take into consideration every aspect of the university; past, present and future.
