Texas has as many clueless & irrational  fans as A&M.

I used to believe that the average Texas fan had a higher football IQ than aggy.

Thats really not the case.  We both have our share of clueless clowns.

It's proportional to the amount of members a website has.  There are "fans" like that everywhere.  You just don't see them as often in a smaller environment, as they don't have the support group to blindly agree with their foolishness.

Lots of testosterone and "one-upmanship" to be found there.

I guess what I'm trying to relay is that I was a bit surprised that the Texas fans could reach the level of ignorance that aggy has.

Look no further than a few posts down from this one, titled No Respectable D1 Team.

I'm telling you, it's not just relegated to OBs, 247, IT, HS, or anywhere else.

AND it's not merely the Texas fan base.  Pick a team, any team.  Go check out Arizona State or UCLA fan boards today.  Iowa, anyone?  How about Arkansas? They're all the same.  They're all filled with cliff-jumpers and 'fans' not happy with what their coach, QB, Def, ST, or coordinators are doing, and they're not afraid to shout it from the rooftops.

In my opinion, this is what happens when you give someone an open forum with the capacity to post in said forum anonymously.  They don't have to own their comments.  Anonymity, as you and I discussed a couple of days ago, is the great equalizer when it comes to those with knowledge and those without. Anonymous posters do not have to own a darn thing that they post.  They can talk, (as is said,) right out of their ass.  Right, wrong, it doesn't matter.

While I go by joeywa, most on the Texas boards know my name is Jeff, know how to get in touch with me, and many of my close personal friends call me joeywa.  It's my nickname.

I know you use your name, and don't "hide" behind a handle, but that's the exception, not the rule.

Yea, we KNOW where to find you. It's just that dad-gum drive is a killa!

They edited mine, as well. I don't understand it. I did not criticize the team or players, nor was it a personal attack. I don't agree with it. I have been posting on UT message boards since the old 360 days and have never once had a comment edited. Oh, well. Things happen. Right?

Yawn. Good night.
